I am Marie Lukic, a self-employed sole trader. A writer, a self-publisher and a teacher, my background includes publications in children’s fiction, non-fiction, plays, poetry and education.  Last year I developed my website, and in 2025 I self-published Kingdom of Nerada Isabella Airyfairyabelous & the Sleepy Dragon (Book 1) and The Faery Enchantment (Book 2), the first two novellas in a series for children. My series has been under development since 2017, but the refined products have now received four star reviews, which is great. At present I am developing a restructured Doughnut Dungeon, Book 3 in the Kingdom of Nerada series. I hope to publish this exciting development during the next six months as I have  to improve dramatic tension and engagement for younger readers. In addition, my debut novel Galaxy Trotters is soon to be republished with a great new design and cover. Galaxy Trotters received multiple outstanding reviews when first published and is a Vic Premier’s Reading Challenge Title. The new cover and design should be a delightful surprise for younger readers. In the meantime, I hope to promote my novels  to local libraries and bookshops.

In addition under Art, I have a beginner art section in which I explore new works of art I attempt. A humorous attempt to portray my journey as an accomplished teacher and writer, with zero artistic acumen, I am gradually developing in a new field altogether. Thus far I have an oil seascape, a collage and now a primitive work of art. It is an opportunity for readers to accompany me in an area where I have little talent, though a good background in marbling. Despite my lack of skill, my art forms striking compositions, I believe. I also have some instinct for colour, developed during marbling acrylics.
