Marie Lukic writing update

Dear Readers,

Thank you once more for the favourable comments, a lovely contrast to the spam I continue to eradicate! I did not realise how long it takes to write a novel. I have just rewritten the opening to Sleepy where I have captured the backstory. So the Electra goddess statue arrives in the king’s castle and he is forced to redecorate the chamber. Electra sparkles to life and the story has asserted itself with a fresh role for Isabella in the following chapters.

By the way, I do love the fact that I discovered a beautiful few lines of a review on my verse play Silk, describing it as meticulously crafted. Or was that a daydream? Can’t see it anymore. I encourage theatres to read my play and have sets of the Hello China series available for sale. Because I originally studied Literature, Silk is a beautiful introduction to nuances of Shakespeare. The verse approximating iambic fell onto the page. Witty, amusing, romantic–what a beautiful play. Eight years of training and many years teaching may lead somewhere after all!
